American Cancer Society - Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3)

The Department of Epidemiology and Surveillance Research at the American Cancer Society (ACS) is looking for men and women who have no personal history of cancer to participate in a large research study. The ACS is aiming to recruit 500,000 adult participants between the ages of 30 and 65 onto the study, including those from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds living throughout the United States. Study recruitment is primarily handled by an extensive volunteer effort that takes place in local communities where ACS Relay for Life events are held. The purpose of CPS-3 is to improve our understanding of the lifestyle, behavioral, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. This study follows CPSI, CPS II, and ACS studies, which have played a significant role in cancer prevention for over fifty years.

For more information about study enrollment, study background, as well as a video link, please go to: the American Cancer Society's web site.
